You need to have a daily routine!

Most Eczema sufferers struggle with their condition because they don't have a routine to keep them on the straight and narrow.

When I used to have hellish Eczema, I never retained a daily routine. I used to always go to bed at erratic times, eat starchy foods or drink tea before bed, put steroid and moisturizing cream on when I felt like it, play computer games before bed and many other things I used to do that were harming my health.

Your body needs routine, the same way your life needs routine. If you always when to bed at 3am and got up at 1pm, where is that going to get you? You need to discipline yourself to do things that think can wait for a day.

You might find treating your eczema a drag or enjoyable. Whatever the case, you need to do it. Not when you feel like it, every single day until you are totally convinced your Eczema is clear. Remember! you can only do this if you suffer from Chronic Eczema. You can clear Chronic Eczema permanently, and never touch any moisturizing cream ever again. Atopic Eczema sufferers have to live with Eczema for the rest of their lives, and stopping treatment is not a wise thing to do. Whatever Eczema condition you have, I would highly suggest you treat your skin daily.

Here's a rough example of one my days:

Time Activity
7-9AM
Wake up, brush my teeth, cleanse my face, hair wash, apply ointment to my body and have some breakfast ( Porridge with a few pieces of fruit and a glass of water)
12-1PM
Lunch: Light salad with pasta or a few pieces of fruit.
5-6 PM
Dinner: Salad with Brown Rice, Houmous, Chicken or Quorn (don't eat starchy foods with meat)
10PM
Usually have a bath, shave, apply ointment on face and body, brush my teeth. Get all my clothes and other things ready for the next day.
10.30PM
Read a book or listen to Jazz FM in bed and then fall a sleep .

You're probably thinking what a dull and boring life I have, but there is structure in my days. Some people prefer a shower in the morning, which is fine. I would not recommend having a shave in the mornings because you need to put on a greasy ointment on your face to trap the moisture, leave that before you go to bed. Have a good balanced diet and drink about 5-6 pints of water sparingly a day.

Food wise, don't eat fruit and vegetables together and don't eat starchy foods with meat together. Avoid having late meals or snacks before bed, try to eat dinner 4-5 before you go to bed. This will give your body plenty of time to digest your food.

Having a routine will improve your Eczema and the way feel. There might be times where you have other plans and don't follow your routine, make sure you go back to it straight away.

Good Luck, and try not to make your life too boring!
